Two parallel ownership structures control the majority of Hawke's Bay's critical infrastructure. The HB Power Consumers' Trust owns 100% of Unison Networks (electricity), while HBRIC owns 55% of Napier Port (maritime). Despite being separate entities, they share common directors - most notably Dan Druzianic who sits on the boards of HBRIC, Napier Port, AND Unison Networks.
